added to JunoFest line-up
Several
artists have just been added to JunoFest 2006
presented by Yahoo! Music Canada. Confirmed acts are as follows:
internationally renowned singer/songwriter Barney Bentall;
Halifax’s leading hip hop voice and 2006 JUNO Award nominee
Classified; 2006 JUNO Award nominated country-folk
mavericks Corb Lund; “Canada’s dopest
female MC” and 2006 JUNO Award nominee Eternia
and innovative and revered reggae artist and 2006 JUNO Award nominee
Jah Beng.
Other
exciting talent to perform on Halifax stages include: critically
adored indie-rock artist Julie Doiron with Shotgun
and Jaybird; East Coast based melodic pop/rockers
MIR; Halifax’s indie-rock mainstays Sloan;
progressive bluegrass/folk fusionists and 2006 JUNO Award nominee
The Duhks and 2006 JUNO Award nominated country
rockers The Road Hammers.
JunoFest
wristbands are $25 each. They are available online at www.ticketatlantic.com,
by phone at the Ticket Atlantic Call Centre at (902) 451-1221,
in person at participating Atlantic Superstore ticket outlets
throughout HRM, Elmsdale and Truro or in person at the Ticket
Atlantic Box Office at the Halifax Metro Centre Box Office located
at 1800 Argyle Street. A JunoFest wristband entitles
the holder priority access to all JunoFest venues,
